Following a successful career as a marketing, PR and business development director for high tech startups, Cimeron decided she'd had enough of stable income and started a new career as a freelance writer (otherwise known as her "paper route"). Over the past 15 years, she's written hundreds of feature stories and multiple columns for dozens of magazines, and has appeared on numerous TV shows, often showcasing her cackling laughter. Her writing awards include: CWA Writer of the Year; Apex Awards; President’s Award for Best Writer; Column of the Year; Newsletter of the Year; Feature Story of the Year.
Cimeron is also an international animal rescuer and advocate, adventure addict and semi-professional face-planter (specializing in the mediums of water, snow, and dirt). In keeping with her strange assortment of accomplishments, she was voted Animal Planet's Cat Hero of the Year a few years back for her creation of Project Bay Cat, a groundbreaking humane initiative that became a model program followed by communities around the world. But to many, she is simply known as "Oh Shit, Whale Girl" thanks to her viral video in which she was nearly slapped in the face by a giant barnacle-encrusted whale tail.
